Yes, the car description mentions that batteries are not included. After I received this and opened up the battery compartment, I was like WTF. I went to the local BATTERY SPECIFIC store and they had no idea. Per the photo I was trying to compose I really wanted the lights to work. So, I messaged customer service via chat and they were very quick and friendly....we figured out the batteries (you need three) are the LR44. I found some on Amazon super cheap. And, I order a bunch of these types of cars and now I know this is sort of the standard configuration of batteries. But, when you look at the battery compartment, it looks like you need one really weird shaped battery. All is good now and this is an awesome car!
